Group

 My group is made up of 4 members. Ava Kanter, Charles Worth, Nicholas Pearlman, and Wren Ruby. I will be doing most of the drawing in our storyboard. I have a bit of experience in drawing and enjoy doing it. I have been drawing sketches as long as i can remember. I am very happy i get to put this to use. I think that out actors will be Wren and Nicolas as they are both athletic which can be useful for a music video. For example, Wren is on the volleyball team and knee pads can be advertised for this occasion. Charles has a talent in editing and will most likely be in charge of it. He knows how to combine clips, cut clips, and make transitions as needed. He is also very creative and always has now ideas flowing. This will be very helpful while brainstorming. Wren and I can help in filming and are able to get the angles we need. Nicholas is a helpful all around team member, he has knowledge in all areas and will be able to help another in need of it. He is a good planner and will know how to keep us in check. I am overall very happy with my group. Everyone pulls their share of the work and does it on time. I have had a lot of struggle with group projects in the past but i feel like it will be different with my group now. I look forward to working with my friends while making all different kinds of films. This is our group and im very excited to get started.

Title Design Research: Thriller

For our title blog we chose "Splice".  A title sequence from a movie in the thriller genre. Here is some information we pulled for the title sequence. 1. How many titles are displayed during the opening sequences to the film? Which ones? Throughout the 3 minute and 30 second video, the video showed 32 titles scenes. This opening was more like an end credit, it included the producer companies, actors, producers, directors, etc. At the end of the title scene it showed "Splice" with the letters enlarged and held for a few seconds. The camera looked like it was going through the body of something and along the way titles would transition in and slowly fade and a new title was coming in.  2. Our Film

 Yay we finished out film! I'm really proud of my group and I, I think we did a decent job. I'm a little sad this is our last project, I had a lot of fun working on this with my group.

Production (filming)

 So, I had planned to go film at a local park today, but it didn't work out. I got home, gathered my belongings, and was ready to go. I gathered all of our props, including costumes, a fake knife, and other items. But as soon as I stepped outside, it began to rain!! I waited about fifteen minutes for the rain to stop, but it didn't, so my group and I reached a deal. I made the decision to go to Nick's place, where we would be able to work inside. I began by putting the finishing touches on our script and outline. I also observed other films in our genre that have been similar to ours. We noticed a few key details, such as the usage of low perspectives throughout the film. Low angles are also employed to demonstrate the subject's might in these professional films, I noticed. I intended to use this in our film to demonstrate the kidnapper's power.
