 Scenes 7-9


On December 8th, my group and I filmed scenes 7-9 for the music video. My group members and I filmed these scenes at the 7-11 and Nick's house. Nick and Charlie were in scenes 7 and 8 while Wren and I were filming. Nick's brother was in scene 9. The props used in these scenes were slurpees, pizza, and a TV. For the 7th scene, Nick and Charlie are walking into a 7-11 talking and having a good time. Wren and I were filming these scenes while Nick and Charles played as the actors. This scene took a while because we had to wait for the door to be vacant since people were coming in and out of the 7-11. We also has a 2nd part to this scene since my group members and I were filming walking out of a 7-11. We chose to go to the 7-11 because the song mentions 7-11 so it will fit in. In the next scene, Charlie and Nick got items from 7-11 such as slurpees and pizza, while I filmed with Wren. 

My group and I showed Charlie and Nick filling up Slurpee cups and getting pizza. This scene only took one try to film since it was a straight forward shot. I wanted to have the next scene where they were getting food because it shows an example of having a good time with friends. For the next scene, Nick and his brother was watching the lakers game, acting like they won. Since the song has a line that says, "the Lakers beat the Supersonics", my group made a scene where the Lakers win a close game. This scene took a few tries since I had to find a video clip of the Lakers winning a close game. Then, Nick and his brother acted like the Lakers won while I filmed with Wren. After the 7-11 scenes my group and I went to Nick's house. This is where we filmed the Lakers scene. Next time I film with my group we will be done with our last scenes.

For our title blog we chose "Splice".  A title sequence from a movie in the thriller genre. Here is some information we pulled for the title sequence. 1. How many titles are displayed during the opening sequences to the film? Which ones? Throughout the 3 minute and 30 second video, the video showed 32 titles scenes. This opening was more like an end credit, it included the producer companies, actors, producers, directors, etc. At the end of the title scene it showed "Splice" with the letters enlarged and held for a few seconds. Our Film

 Yay we finished out film! I'm really proud of my group and I, I think we did a decent job. I'm a little sad this is our last project, I had a lot of fun working on this with my group.

Production (filming)

 So, I had planned to go film at a local park today, but it didn't work out. I got home, gathered my belongings, and was ready to go. I gathered all of our props, including costumes, a fake knife, and other items. But as soon as I stepped outside, it began to rain!! I waited about fifteen minutes for the rain to stop, but it didn't, so my group and I reached a deal. I made the decision to go to Nick's place, where we would be able to work inside. I began by putting the finishing touches on our script and outline. I also observed other films in our genre that have been similar to ours. We noticed a few key details, such as the usage of low perspectives throughout the film. Low angles are also employed to demonstrate the subject's might in these professional films, I noticed. I intended to use this in our film to demonstrate the kidnapper's power.
