Yay we finished out film! I'm really proud of my group and I, I think we did a decent job. I'm a little sad this is our last project, I had a lot of fun working on this with my group.
For our title blog we chose "Splice". A title sequence from a movie in the thriller genre. Here is some information we pulled for the title sequence. 1. How many titles are displayed during the opening sequences to the film? Which ones? Throughout the 3 minute and 30 second video, the video showed 32 titles scenes. This opening was more like an end credit, it included the producer companies, actors, producers, directors, etc. At the end of the title scene it showed "Splice" with the letters enlarged and held for a few seconds. The camera looked like it was going through the body of something and along the way titles would transition in and slowly fade and a new title was coming in. 2. What connotations do the images carry? (how do they make you feel) The title sequences first contains images of many different x-rays with titles in every other picture. After, it is like a camera quickly moving through the body of what seems like a snake, very closely and quickly. Y...
Today is March 14th, and after school, my group and I filmed scenes 1-5. Today, my group and I spent about an hour at the park filming and producing good recordings. I was excited to begin recording the scenes after we were unable to do so the day before due to weather. Nick opening a door to a mystery was the first scene, which I recorded earlier today and only took about 15 seconds; it was primarily eye level and he made sure to appear confused about the mysterious things. Following this scene, I proceeded to the park with my friends to film the other scenes.Nick was headed towards the basketball court with the victim in this scene. This was a long-shot scene. Because people on the courts kept getting in the way, it took us approximately five minutes to get this scene properly. My group and I were also attempting to focus the camera. It was also quite windy, so my group and I had to retry a few times. The next scene took place at the basketball court, with Nick and the victim wonderi...
Today is March 7th, and my group and I have been working on the music for our film. I've already begun the process of inserting music into the film that will work best for specific scenes. My group and I couldn't decide what music to put for the film at first. However, my group and I looked for different thrilling and defining music and picked the ones that we enjoyed the most. For the film, my group and I will use establishing music. And for the climax and significant events in my film, such as the kidnapper escaping and the vehicle driving away, I'll add thrilling music. The establishing music will play for 20-30 seconds in order to give the film a sense of purpose and to capture the audience's attention. For the scenes, my group and I will use a variety of exciting music. My group and I want to make sure the music is appropriate for the scenarios we're working on. I've already begun filming the scene that will fit the opening music. Because the park is our ...
